Lynsey McLean Dixon ’01, a former UNCG women’s soccer player and 2023 inductee to the Athletics Hall of Fame, plays a voicemail from her spouse, Emily, in the U.K., offering some inspiration for her acceptance speech. Lynsey was among four individuals, along with two teams, who were inducted on Homecoming weekend.

Media Studies and School of Music’s Pop Tech students collaborate to produce “Live from GSO.” LfGSO is a faculty-guided, student-produced streaming event that gives students experience and exposure by performing and producing a live stream from the Carmichael Building studio.

Students collaborate in Dr. Channelle James’ course “Creativity, Innovation, and Vision” taught in the Bryan School. The activity is called “Reinvent the Candy Bar” where students use the Design Thinking process to make the candy bar experience better. Fun fact: students enjoyed many samples to help them innovate the candy bar.
